Arrive at Yangon Airport. Welcome by a our local guide and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing starts with Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda (a huge reclining Buddha), Karaweik Hall, a Royal floating barge on the Royal Lake for a photo stop and late in the afternoon, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda described by Somerset Maugham: "The Shwedagon rose superb, glistening with its gold, like a sudden hope in the dark night of the soul of which the mystics write, glistening against the fog and smoke of the thriving city." This massive bell-shaped stupa rises nearly 100 meters above its hill-top surroundings. Wander through this magnificent structure and its courtyards, stupas, bells, Temples, and Buddha images, and see religious and secular visitors from all parts of the globe. Shwedagon has become the symbol of Myanmar. Enjoy the sunset over the Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 02
YANGON - BAGAN
Morning flight by Yangon Airways to Bagan. Visit local market of Nyaung Oo(BGN). After market transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing highlights of Bagan: a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples such as Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; Kyansittha Umin: a tunnel with an interesting feature of paintings; Htilominlo Temple, noted for its plaster carvings; Gubyaukgyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scene and Ananda Temple with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures and niches around the galleried interior. In the afternoon visit to lacquer ware home industry and continue sightseeing of Bagan: Manuha Temple built in Mon style from 1059; Nanpaya Temple, said to have once been the residence of King Manuha, Gupyaukkyi Temple in Myinkabar and sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 03
BAGAN - MANDALAY - AMARAPURA - MANDALAY
Early morning flight to Mandalay, the city of the last Myanmar Kings, by Air Mandalay or Yangon Airways. On the way to Amarapura visit the Mahamuni Pagoda, with its spectacular Buddha image covered in thick layers of gold leaf and proceed to ancient capital of Amarapura the "City of Immortals" for a visit to Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images and the U Bein Bridge, over 150 years old, which is still in use. In ther afternoon driver to Mandalay. Sightseeing highlights: Shwenandaw Monastery (noted for its exquisite woodcarvings), Atumashi Monastery (Incomparable Monastery), Kuthodaw Pagoda (known as the worlds biggest book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures) and finally climb up the 1729 steps to the Mandalay Hill. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 04
MANDALAY - MINGUN - MANDALAY
Drive to Kywezun jetty to watch the busy riverside activity, and visit with the local people. Take a local riverboat to the ancient capital of Mingun. Visit the home for the aged at Mingun, and visit the nurse, who cares for this population. Walk to the huge Mingun Bell, see the nearby-unfinished Mingun Pagoda and visit the local village. Then come back to Mandalay. Sightseeing highlights: Shwenandaw Monastery (noted for its exquisite woodcarvings), Atumashi Monastery (Incomparable Monastery), Kuthodaw Pagoda (known as the worlds biggest book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures) and finally climb up the 1729 steps to the Mandalay Hill. DAY 05
MANDALAY - HEHO - KAUNG DINE - INLE LAKE
Morning flight by Yangon Airways to Heho in Shan State. Drive to Kaung Dine and take a boat (similar to sampas/appr. 5 pax per boat). Sightseeing highlights will be: Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and of course the floating gardens. Inle Lake is famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty. Enjoy the village life on the lake and the natives' method of fishing. Overnight at Inle Lake or in Nyaung Shwe.

DAY 06
INLE LAKE/NYAUNG SHWE - PINDAYA - HEHO - YANGON
After breakfast excursion to Pindaya (appr. 3 ½ hrs drive) a charming village with its paper umbrella cottage industry. Visit Pindaya cave, famous for its thousands of Buddha images. Then drive to Heho for the late afternoon flight by Yangon Airways to Yangon. After arrival transfer to the hotel for overnight.

DAY 07
YANGON - DEPARTURE
After breakfast drive to Botataung jetty where you can watch ferry boats and oared water taxis cross the Yangon River. Proceed to Botataung Pagoda and Sule Pagoda. Wide streets, orderly town planning and neglected public buildings revive visions of British rule, while busy streets scenes and shimmering pagodas, bursting through a leafy canopy, hint at the rich local culture. Skyscrapers and glaring neon billboards have yet to overtake the capital. Late afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight onwards.
